4. After Shading you can go back and add necessary highlights

2.after deciding on a composition and doing the general outline in step 1 you can go back and add some solid colors to your objects. Do not get to into details at this point and everything you paint should be in the darker tones because we will go on to add the lighter side of things afterwards. As you can see all the colors are flat at this point with out much shading or variation of color.

1.To begin we started with a very abstract and light general outline. The best way to do this is start with whatever color and mix a little turpentine use your brush and make very general shapes of what you are planning to paint. This is just the base layer so it does not need to be perfect in any way. Think of it as a sketch that we are going to build up as we go.
